And Poodle Makes 3
I have always had a strong love for animals and their welfare; so when our local SPOT group participated in a Puppy mill seizure I stepped right up to be a foster home. We already had two well trained schnauzers but we opened our doors and our hearts to those puppies in need. As love would have it, my two schnauzers chose a miniature poodle to be their little sister. Mitzi nowhas found her "Fur-ever" home here. They have taught her love, warm beds and long walks off leash are what every dog deserves. Thanks SPOT.

Maggie
I adopted Maggie 8 years ago. She's my first dog I have had as an adult, and has proven to be "the best dog ever!"
Although she does have IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease), which came about when she was a year old, she is one healthy dog (she does have to be on prescription dog food and takes a small dose prednisone every other day).
Thanks, SPOT, for my friend!

Josie
Josie came to our home in Sept of 2008 from the Petco in Mt Vernon as an 8 week old puppy weighing only 8 pounds. She was super skinny, because she and her siblings had been abandoned. She is absolutely the craziest dog I have ever met. She sits on the couch like a human and eats ice cubes like they are treats. We laugh a lot at her, she is quite the entertainer! She had a little bit of a rough start but is now thriving as a 75 pound lap dog. She loves her big brother Freddie (brown doggie in picture). Love Her SOOOOO Much! If anyone else has her brother or sisters from the litter I would love to try a play date!!
Thank You SPOT!

Happy Tails - Spooks (fka Dude)
Hi Michelle,
Well we have had The Dude for nearly 3 weeks now and he has adjusted beautifully. We call him Spooky or Mr. Spooks as he has a tendancy to jump at his own shadow and Dexter had the nickname Dude before Spooky joined us. He is getting along great with all of the other cats and is constantly playing with Gizmo. At first Gizzy did not know what to make of the idea that Spooky would play back as all the other cats either ignore him or snarl at him when he would pounce on them. Spooky jumped right in though and they chase each other all over the house. Clearly they are having tons of fun. Spooks loves to come up for his nightly loving when we head to bed. Neither my husband nor I can go to sleep until we have given him the proper amount of petting. He also is very intrigued by the snakes, especially the big one, Doorknob. Whenever Doorknob is roaming his tank Spooks is right there looking very perplexed. Occasionally he reaches a paw out to the tank to see if he can touch the snake and the glass adds to the befuddlement. The perplexed look on his face is classic as his slight crosseyes emphasizes it more than the same look on the other cats. Just thought you would like to know he is one happy cat and has adjusted quickly to our little zoo here.

Maggie
Just wanted to say thank you for our Maggie.
We found her when you were at the Highland games in 2008, she was in a litter of 13 I think, mother had been killed @ 2 weeks and had been handfeed from her foster mom Nina. Maggie had a rough go at first with some medical issues and food issues, but she has come through to be the best little ball of love. Maggie loves to go for walks and loves to swim, she takes her sister's tennis ball when Abby isnt looking, and loves the snow. Thank you for doing what you do, we are so very happy she found us!

Remi
Hi SPOT!
I wanted to let you guys know that I'm doing great in my new home! My mom and dad adopted me the day before Valentine's, and renamed me "Remi" (I used to be called Moon) and with plenty of treats, I learned my new name in about two days. I've gotten my basic obedience down and I'm about to try my paw at agility.
Here's a picture of me napping with dad and my two brothers. Thanks for taking care of me until I could be adopted!
Love, Remi

Thank you for Henry!
Hi Jen
Wanted to send you a couple of pics. We love Henry!! He has fit very well into our family. Lloyd took to him right away.
He is quite well behaved (seems to have heard the word "no" before), and he sleeps through the night on the bed with us.
