Jimmy (Junior)

July 2010 we adopted Junior. Mike and Jen's first bottle babies. The only male in a litter of calico girls.

He is still King of the house. I tried fostering various cats of all ages to find him a friend. Oh no, he prefers people thank you very much! So we will remain a one animal home until his passing.

Thank you for giving cats another chance.

Beauregarde's Retirement

My name is Melissa and I adopted Beauregarde January 20th 2015. I am so pleased to have been given the opportunity by SPOT to give this old soul a healthy, fun, content, and worry free home in his "Golden Years". Beauregarde settled right into our home...there was zero adjustment on his part. My Rottweiler, Bobs, has loved him since the get-go and even tho Beauregarde is a senior guy, nothing keeps him from playing....well, besides food and intermittent napping. My other Basset, Arthur now tolerates Beau's advances but hasn't warmed up completely.....He's not a hound to be usurped! All in all he's enjoying his life of leisure....and we are all enjoying him. Thanks again.

Kitzi's

Some would pass up an opportunity to rehome a senior cat straight up! But in our home with a willing family of adults, a teenager and one aging kind hearted bulldog named Tinkerbelle, it seemed so right to give "Kitzi" a home & family. Kitzi's a 12 year gentle female British short hair, had lost her home, because her past owner moved into a place where Kitzi could not stay with any longer. She is an older cat as we are active adults and is why we got her too like our Belle "settled with life". Kitzi's eyes run a lot and has a slight Kidney problem but she is very loving and so quiet that her nick name is now "Ninja cat". ( She now sports a bell so we can hear where she is ha!) Has a couple comfortable nesting areas and loves her quiet time stretched out. One eye always watching for someone's lap to snuggle into. Maybe taking a chance was crazy or she would disliked or fear Belle? End result we all seemed to have taken on change or a challenge. Its been a little over a month,
between Vets visits, K/D food, eye drops and finding by trail an error she prefers Cat Attract for litter ha! Also, Kitzi never known about dogs before and Belle never known about cats but both are getting to learn about each other by observation and loving care. ("They are 2 peas in ah pot" ... old, sleepy and thribes on attention) I have to say "giving Kitzi a home, was one of our best ideas as a family" ♥Highly Recommended

Hello from Charlie

We've had our baby Charlie for over a year and wanted to give a quick update.

He amazes us, and makes us smile every single day. Charlie is SO smart and so loving and I feel like we are the luckiest parents in the world.

He was my support through a deployment, and my entertainment when I'm sad. He's so happy and healthy and so beautiful. He loves to sunbathe, play fetch, and attack our feet, and his new game is chasing light reflections on walls.

I never found put who his foster parents were, but whoever you are, if you see this, THANK YOU.

With love, the Afflerbaughs

MissFortune

My family adopted (MissFortune) Maddy into our home in March 2006. She had been found tied in a tree at 2-3 weeks old. She was rescued and put back together and we were lucky enough to have her become part of our family. Fast forward and she will be turning nine in January. Wow that went by fast. She is still as energetic and loving as ever. I'm so glad she came to live with us!

Pepper (formerly Nickel)

Myself and my boyfriend, Casey are so thankful to have Pepper come into our lives. We got her in August when she was 3 months and she has grown so quickly! It's been great fun to watch her learn and be curious, she makes us laugh every day.

When we first got her, she was very shy which worried us. Now she runs to greet us when we come home and even stands on her hind legs pawing at us until we pick her up and love on her. We've also discovered since having her that she plays fetch! Something she's very good at and will ask you to do with her (usually by putting a toy on your lap). It's very entertaining to watch!

We no longer can imagine our lives without Pepper, we even got her a little stocking for Christmas and she's in our Christmas card. We're lucky to have her and love her so much.

Thank you S.P.O.T. for helping us find her!

Love,

Sarah, Casey and Pepper
